A Melody in the Sea

The Solarbeam failed and Manectric kept up on the Fire Fang lunging at Cherubi teeth bared and flames bursting from them.

Cherubi soon fainted.

"Return. Now don't get too cocky Drew, this one if by far stronger. And after that even stronger. Go Turtwig!"

A Turtwig emerged. It immediately used Energy Ball very speedily.

Drew just said "i'm not too sure" as Manectric had used quick attack to dodge and was already running towards Turtwig with his teeth bared and flames bursting from them.

Turtwig simply hopped out of the way. The way he moved was almost mocking.

"Leaf Storm!"

Manectric smirked the Leaf Storm being slow compared to himself running out of the way dodging it and lowering his head using Quick attack aiming straight for Turtwig. Drew shouted "yes that's how we do it now keep it up and keep focused we got a contest to get to" smiling at his partner battling.

She laughed and Turtwig used Withdraw blocking the attack. He then used Leaf Storm.

Manectric though changed direction and ran along the side of the balcony with speed dodging the withdraw and using Quick Attack on Turtwig, Drew smiled as he watched.

Turtwig was hit but wasn't hurt all that much. He then used Energy Ball.

Manectric though just used Quick Attack again running back around the balcony and into the roof area before leaping down directly above Turtwig and using Fire Fang again full power.

Turtwig closed his eyes with pain. He then used Leaf Storm right in Manectric's face.

Manectric flames though from his teeth just burnt them before they had time to spread out and Manectric rolled forwards to face Turtwig and launched at it with a Quick Attack and then changed direction when approaching to get alongside, using another Fire Fang on Turtwig.

Turtwig used a final Energy Ball.

Manectric leapt into the air with a forward roll over the top of the energy ball dodging it and keeping up the momentum by adding it to the Fire Fang straight at Turtwig head.

Turtwig used Energy Ball.

(I should've said this earlier but on this site Cherubi is lv.19 Turtwig 21 and Roserade 24. That means Cherubi was one level lower and Turtwig one level higher than Manectric, yet you have dodged every single attack. Please be more realistic)

(A - you didn't tell me the levels as you had said and B - Levels don't affect speed and Manectric is quite a fast pokemon But I was about to begin saying Manectric was getting tired and slower and he begins getting caught by attacks)

Manectric rolled out of this one's way and turned to look at Turtwig panting a bit and running towards Turtwig being a bit slower this time and using Fire Fang on Turtwig in an attempt to take it down in one final bite.

(Timburr aswell should now be level 18 with 5 exp from the whole Oreburgh Gym battle and Manectric should have 19 exp instead of 0)

(Sorry xD I'm going to add that information, and levels do effect speed because a lv. 100 is obviously faster than 90 or whatever)

Turtwig just managed to dodge and used Energy Ball.

Manectric tripped and stumbled not having enough time to re-correct itself taking the full force of the Energy Ball cringing before weakly getting up and using Quick Attack to get up close and used Fire Fang again when up close.

(Yeah but not when it's only a one level gap)

(I know but their powers should be at least equal)

Turtwig was hit. He was about to faint but gathered up all of his strength to use the most powerful Energy Ball and fastest he had ever used. But he fainted afterwards as he had used up all of his power.

Manectric was hit by the Energy Ball getting sent backwards and landed in a heap on the floor only just managing to get up and looked to Drew smiling being Extremely weak (1hp like) so, Drew took the pokeball from his waist and got Manectric to return he then looked to Gardenia and said "so that it or you got someone else in the wings?" smiling as he said it and prepping one of his other pokemon's pokeball's just in case there was someone else. (like Roserade maybe)....(oh and now Manectric's level 21)

"Let's see... Ah here we go. Roserade!"

Roserade was sent out.

Drew then figured he'd be needing speed so threw the pokeball in his hand up into the air as it opened and Holly appeared in a white light standing there before hopping from foot-to-foot smiling and fist-pumping. Drew then caught the pokeball in two fingers and clipped it back onto his waist calling across to Gardenia "I think we'll let you have first move" and nodded to Holly who knew what to do when the time came.

Gardenia smiled. Roserade used Magical Leaf, being impossible to dodge.

Impossible to dodge yes but who said Holly was gonna dodge as she bounced across the field and leapt behind Roserade having Roserade almost take the hit and used a Pound attack on Roserade with speed.

((But they would just turn they wouldn't just go straight forward xD))

However they all homed in on Holly spreading out meaning she could only move forward, which would make her hit Roserade. Roserade dodged the Pound by ducking.

Holly then rolled over Roserade's back and bounced over the leaves she then used Mirror Coat in an act of Defiance and followed it up with Return headed straight at Roserade full power.
