A Melody in the Sea

The boat approached the dock, and Melody was standing at the front looking at all the beautiful scenery as the boat began to slow down and dock. Sparky was perched on her shoulder. She smiled as the city buildings began to tower over her. She was very excited, and was going to fly to Oreburgh City riding on Blue. She immediately changed her mind, when eyes met a lamppost, with a poster on it:
"Canalave City Pokemon Contest! Must sign in before 15:00 on the 3rd June!"
Melody checked her Poketch, as the 3rd June was today. The time was 14:00.
"Oh no! We better hurry! Come on!" she said.
"Pichu!" Sparky said in agreement.
Melody sprinted down to the Pokemon contest hall, and walked up to the lady at the desk.

Wow, you got here just at the last minute!
So you want to enter the Canalave City Contest?
Well you'll have to finish these forms to enter.
And you'll have to be quick it's just about to start.

Melody signs the forms.
"Done!"

Ok, just go right in.

(gonna join one sec making my second character, Here we go again with me and my trainer creations lol)

Melody proceeded into hall joining the other trainers practising their combination moves. she sent out Blue and Sparky. Sparky used thunderbolt while spinning to make spinning circles of electricity, then Blue used Ice Beam making a glowing, spinning circle of ice. Blue used Fly and picked it up, before throwing it at the wall. the disc bounces off the wall and bounces off the other wall and so on to make what is like pinball. then Blue used Dragon Rush, destroying the disc, and Sparky stood up straight again. Blue landed on Sparky's head with wings spread, and Sparky used Attract, winking out a heart. Melody was pleased with this combination and how well it looked. She congratulated them.

Now let' see.... who's first?
Ah... The first contestant is.........Melody Summers with Blue, Sparky!

Melody walked into the contest hall, in her formal clothes. She sent out her Pokemon in a seal sending love hearts out. They used the combination they practised. After finishing she and her Pokemon in their finishing poses awaited the judges' scores.

So let's see what the judges thought of that.

Nurse Joy: That was amazingly graceful! 8.9!

Mr Sukizo: Oh My God That Was The Most Amazing Performance I Have Seen In My Life!! 10!

Mr Contesta: Truly Remarkable! 9.4!

(Just saying take your lips off her butt no offense but just cause she's the website owner don't mean she would want to be treated any different like rather than using comments like "amazing" and stuff give constructive criticism and no i'm not meaning to be rude)

Melody and her Pokemon smiled like this: and went back to the waiting room, watching the screen for the next performance.

Drew got off of the boat as he had fell asleep in his cabin and ran quickly to the Contest hall realizing he was massively late. He had signed up over the video phone in advance so he ran past into the waiting room doors and stood in the tunnel taking deep breath's as he adjusted the seals. He ran out and threw up Two pokeball's, Electro and Holly came out in lightning bolts and Musical notes symbols. They then landed and Electro swirled his head using thunder wave causing yellow electric pulses to surround the room Holly was beautifully jumping over them happily using Magic Coat as he Fur shined from it combining with the yellow pulses this was beautiful then Electro finished up with Howl but in a singing voice tone as Holly back-flipped and used a final Pound attack on the ground thrusting herself up into the air where she danced and winked at the audience cutely as their time finished they landed side-by-side smiling. Drew was relieved it looked good and looked to the judges for the results or scores.

"I think that was a very nice performance. 7.8!

"That was a very well shown aspect of beauty. I give you a 8.1!

"Hm... what's the word... ah yes. Remarkable! I say 7.9!

Drew took a bow and returned Holly whilst Electro walked to his side and they both walked off sitting in the waiting room for the next round.

Many other contestants battled. About an hour had passed.

"Now, for the results! The contestants going through to the semi- finals are shown on the screen!" announced Marian.

Drew Thompkins - 28.3

Melody Summers - 23.8

Kimberly Song - 22.3

Jason Meadows - 20.6

were shown, ordered as pictures then scores underneath.

"Now we will randomly select opponents!"

The screen showed that Melody was facing Kimberly, and Drew was facing Jason.

"First, is Drew against Jason!"

Drew was sitting in the waiting room and smirked seeing he was through so he walked out again onto the stage and threw up Tyson and Electro's pokeball's and they came out in Lightning bolts and Hearts again where they landed on the stage in a battle stance looking to battle ready and prepared they then awaited Jason the opponents pokemon to come out.

Jason looked at the audience, and then got nervous. But he shook it off, and sent out a Gengar and a Steelix. Gengar jumped on Steelix's head and Steelix used dig. Then (if it hits) Gengar used shadow Ball from the hole while Steelix is coming from the ground, and as Steelix rams into Electro Gengar, since he's a ghost, travels right through Electro's body landing on his back and uses Dark Pulse.

Tyson grinned and leapt down into the hole following Steelix and used Low Kick stopping Steelix from advancing and Electro then followed down into the hole and ran up Steelix's back using Fire Fang on Gengar having beautiful flames come out of the hole dancing due to the power.

They both grinned, as Steelix began spinning very rapidly and Gengar flew up to the surface (with levitation ability) dodging the attacks. They then both used Double Team both steelix surrounding on end of the hole and Gengar the other, but in a dome shape so that they could not just jump out.

(just saying the levitate fails as it only allows you to dodge ground type moves)
Drew smiled and Electro looked out of the end of the hole that Gengar was at not coming out but instead fired a Thunder Wave out of the opening it bursting out in all directions acting like the Thunder was dancing and the other end Tyson used Rock Throw launching them out of the hole at Steelix with out coming out of it himself.

(That was a mistake, I meant to just write that he levitated, because he's a ghost)

The attacks cleared the holograms away. But steelix used Stone Edge into the hole but tightly packed them together, so that there was no way of slipping through them. Gengar launched a Dark Pulse causing dark violet waves to pulse into the hole.

Electro began spinning with help from Tyson and using Quick attack it acted as a drill them both going up through a hole made by the Drill Electro then repeated using Thunderwave and spinning, it shooting out in multiple directions going in a whipping motion and would possible hit them both. Tyson however used the spin and went feet first at Steelix spinning at high speed with Low Kick.

Jason smiled, and they both used Protect. Gengar used dark pulse inside, causing pulses to come out (not damaging). Then after the Thunder wave Gengar used another Dark Pulse while Steelix used Sandstorm causing sand to spiral around him.

Electro instead used this to his advantage and ran in circle in it using Quick Attack and Thunder Wave having beautiful yellow light coming from the sandstorm spiral Tyson however flipped again and used another Low Kick on Steelix aiming to get it to fall down.

However Sandstorm put out the bolts of light, but Low Kick hit. Then Steelix used Stone Edge while Gengar used Dark Pulse. Then time was up.

"And the winner is... Drew!"

Melody smiled and then got on to the battlefield facing Kimberly. She used Vix and Sparky.
