Breeding Hearts (cont.)

Flint then said to Jade "nice one she suits you so...." he paused for a moment not knowing what to say before asking "so what's this errand then?" trying to get around to a point he was wanting to ask.

Jade giggled as the Vulpix jumped up onto her shoulder, she scratched it behind her ears before turning her attention back to Flint "well.. there was a pack of Houndoom terrorizing their city.. we managed to get rid of the Houndoom but there are so many burnt pokemon that they don't have enough medicine, I gave them what I had but I'm heading to the next city to get some from the pokemon center there.. would you like to come?" she asked, her eyes brightening as she tucked her hair behind her ear with a smile.

Flint just smiled and looked to Aurora saying "what d'ya think buddy" Aurora giggled and clapped happily making it hard for Flint to hold him regaining control he looked to Jade and said "I think that's an over-excited yes" and laughed. Flint then heaved his bag back up onto his shoulder properly as it was slipping down, reached into his pocket and pulled out a map saying "right so the next town should be ......." pausing a bit and looking to Jade smiling.

Jade giggled at the enthusiastic pokemon, noticing her own seeming pleased about the company "well we're heading to the pokecenter in Celadon City now. Then its right back to Fuschia.. my Chancey is waiting for me there she said with a smile. She waited for Flint before starting off again, she could hear Togepi and Vulpix chatting animatedly.

Flint then perked up more and said "well I guess we'll be getting much more than the lot from the pokemon centre my parents own a ranch in Celadon so, I can get some burn heals from them" he then got out his Pokegear and called his Dad telling him to get a few burn heals ready and explained from what he was told had happened and his Dad did this after informing his Mum so Flint then put his phone back in his pocket and said "yepp their getting the burn heal's ready now then" Aurora was still giggling away as they walked down the path to Celadon. Flint then said "oh and i'll show you two of my other pokemon when we reach some water" Flint then took his sunglasses from his shirt and put them on looking back up and continued walking down the path.

Jade beamed when she realized what he was doing "that's a wonderful idea! They'll have plenty to heal all the pokemon" she said happily after he got off the phone. "I have a water pokemon too, he's a horsea" she said conversationally "I can't wait to meet yours" she scratched Vulpix behind the ears as they went, she had always been partial to Vulpix, and had always wanted one of her own, ever since she took care of a friends for a while, she had been sad to give it back. Togepi wound up being great fun too, and she was growing quite attached to him, of course.. she was technically supposed to be finding him a more permanent home, who knew, she might run into somebody who was in much more need of him than she was, she just hoped she'd be able to give him up when the time came. "It's funny.. I was afraid to come through here at first, I've run into hostile people and pokemon before"

Flint smiled and said "well I've not found anyone Hostile or anything like that in this area and I know this area like the back of my hand" Aurora just sniffed and started clapping as they neared the edge of the forest and the path to Celadon. Flint then said "ah so a Horsea sounds pretty cool" continuing with "well my two water pokemon are my Goldeen a.k.a. Beauty and my Seel a.k.a. Aqua" he then looked down the path and saw the city in the distance saying "and there it is not far to go now then" smiling as he looked at Togepi and Vulpix and Jade all seeming quite happy.

She watched him with interest as he spoke about the different pokemon he had, watching as they made it to the edge of the forest without running into anything difficult or negative. "Well, that's a relief" she said with a smile as she spotted Celadon off in the distance. She could feel Togepi moving behind her and she'd smile, "I'll get you something to eat when we get there Togepi" and the little baby pokemon squeeled in excitement.

Flint looked to her and said "oh you want me put something together for everyone" as he takes off his bag and swings it from his shoulder onto a nearby rock beginning to remove ingredients and set up his foldable tables (you know the type Brock and Cilan have them the one's that are too big to fit in the bag but mysteriously appear and disappear lol) putting the ingredients on it saying "this is what I got to use anything either Togepi or any of your other pokemon don't like and...." he paused for a minute putting the normal food on it to put together something for them to eat too continuing with "anything you don't particularly like" he then awaited answer from Jade.

Jade smiled, she was about to say no that they were almost there and it could wait, but he already had everything out and she found herself actually more hungry than she realized "I'm okay with anything.. these guys would probably like simple rice balls, or pokemon food" she said as she pulled off her back pack and lifted Togepi out of it who squeeled at her as if this were a great game. She set him carefully on top of the table "don't move" she said to him as she lifted up her Vulpix and set her on the table as well.. "I bet you these guys are hungry too" she mentioned as she reached in her bag and pulled out two more pokeballs, opening the first one, Lenny, her Venonat would appear. "Hi Lenny, are you hungry?" she asked as she pushed the button on the last pokeball and horsea would come out, she was careful to keep him in her hand as she glanced around for maybe a creek or a little bit of water. "hmm.. do you want to wait until we're near water before you eat Horsea?" she asked and the little Horsea smiled "Sea, sea!" as if to say it was fine.

Flint nodded and began preparing some rice balls for the pokemon being sure there was enough to go around he then put them into bowls and placed them near the pokemon. Flint then went over to the other half of the table whilst Aurora was eating and made a quick lunch of some salad and some cheese sandwiches for the both of them pouring out some glasses of MooMoo milk which was actually quite nice to drink, he then picked up Jade's plate and handed it to her as he took out two fold up seats and put them up sitting down and beginning to eat. Flint then swallowed some of his sandwich and rather than taking another bite he asked Jade "want me to call my dad to come pick us up in his jeep?" not knowing whether or not she wanted to walk or not and took another bite from his sandwich.

Jade scooped Togepi up into her arms as she took a seat on a rock, setting him in her lap as the rice balls were set in front of her "thank you.." she said as she picked up the rice ball and held it down to the tiny egg pokemon who chimed excitedly and started nibbling on the food. She watched as Vulpix jumped up and began nibbling on some of the rice balls as well, Lenny having already started digging in himself. She took the plate that was handed to her with her free hand and smiled "thank you" she said again as she took a bite out of the cheese sandwich. She hadn't realized how hungry she was until that moment. She ate silently for a little while before glancing up at his question. She glanced down to her pokemon "we're almost there.." she pointed out "there's no need for him to come get us I don't think.. have you lived in the town for long?" she asked. She had come through Celadon city a few times in the past.. although she wasn't as familiar with everyone as she was in Fuschia, but she had never seen him before.

"Yeah born and raised there on my parents Ranch" he answered between mouthfuls and said "ok then we'll walk enjoy the scenery" taking a few more bites from his sandwich and looking around at the scenery Flint then looked over to the city in the distance saying "shouldn't take us more than half an hour to get there" thinking for a while. Aurora was also sitting there clapping happily and eating the Rice Ball's with help from Flint who was taking bits off of the Rice Ball and handing it to Aurora who smiled eating it and looking around the area waving at Togepi with it's free arm. Flint then finished his sandwiches and Aurora finished his Rice Ball's so Flint took out a bottle of water he had for this and a cloth wetting the plate and cleaning it, he also did the same with the bowl putting the both of them into his bag and folding up his chair also putting that in his bag. Flint then took out his sketchbook and an HB pencil going over to a tree and climbing it sitting on a sturdy branch able to withstand his weight going to the end of it Cubchoo on his lap and he began sketching out the Celadon landscape in great detail including the tiny dots of people in the distance to every single building and skyscraper even the vehicles on their way to and from it shading the darker corners and using lighter tones on the more sunny areas as, Flint finished the sketch he shut the book and climbed down Cubchoo holding on tightly to his shoulders, Flint swung him around and held onto him as he was tucking the sketchbook into it's special pocket in the bag. Flint walked over and stood near Jade at that point awaiting her to finish her lunch swinging his bag onto his shoulders.
