Facing a fear, and finding new friends!

It was early morning in Cerulean City, and a flack of Spearow were just falpping the dew on their wings in order to get the day started. Out of the ground, a Sandshrew poked its head out and yawned softly before resubmerging into it's home. At the very beginning of route 4, a young woman made her way toward the tall grass, her palms covered in sweat. Her short blonde hair tousled around her face and neck, and her brownish/red eyes focusd but worried.
Looking to her right, Gale saw Tanwen, her Torchich partner waddling beside her. Unlike her trainer, Tanwen was excited to battle a pokemon. Though she could understand her trainers fear, Tanwen hoped to help her trainer by pushing her just a little bit. And Gale knew that in her heart, Tanwen wanted to show her father how strong she could really be.
Stopping at the edge of the tall grass, Gale bent down and picked up Tanwen, placing her on her shoulder.
"Ok, now listen Tan-Tan-"
Gale said, sternly yet lovingly using her partners nickname.
"No matter what, you need to be careful. I don't want you getting too hurt. I'm doing this for you, but you have to keep that promise got it?"
"Tor! Torchic chic!!"
Tanwen replied, flapping her small wings and earning a smile from her trainer. Gale softly rubbed the Torchich's head before inhaling softly and beginning to treck through the waist high grass.

Tanwen tugged at Gale's clothes with her beak. She pointed to a Butterfree collecting pollen in the flower patch.

Gale stopped as she felt her partner pulling on the sleeve of her shirt. Then as Tanwen pointed she looked over to where she was indicating.
"What is it Tan-"
She stopped short and her mouth dropped slightly as she saw the beautiful Butterfree collecting pollen in the flowers. Tanwen tried to hop off her trainers hsoulder with a determined look on her face and Gale stopped her, much to Tanwen chagrin.
"Just wait a minute Tan-Tan. I could be peaceful, let's see what happens alright?"
Tanwen pouted softly as she was placed back on Gale's shoulder. Slowly and with the back of her hand reaching out, she approached the Butterfree and stopped a few feet away. She picked a flower and held it out beside her arm, this was how her mother once got a Beautifly to come to her back in Hoenn.
"Hi there."
Gale cooed softly to the butterfly pokemon, keeping her voice calm to let it know she meant it no harm to it unless it posed a threat to her first.

Butterfree looked at Gale for a few seconds, as if she was sizing her up. Then she saw the flower and took some pollen, before smiling at Gale, and started following her.

Gale smiled warmly athe Butterfree began to follow her. Softly she stroked the Buterfree's head.
"Well hello there. My name's Gale, and this little one here is Tanwen."
Tanwen nodded and gave the Butterfree a greeting, though inside she was a little mad. Her trainer hadn't let her fight, but this Butterfree seemed peaceful at the moment and so she was glad that Gale stopped her. Otherwise this peaceful pokemon may not have come to taken a shine to them after all.

Buterfree smiled and said, "Butterfree!" very pleasantly, and gently snuggled Tanwen and Gale.

Tanwen lightened up and laughed softly as Butterfree snuggled against her and her trainer. Gale smiled and getled patted the pokemon's head.
"Aren't you freindly! I came out here to fight something but I don't want to hurt someone as sweet as you! What do you say? You wanna come with me?"
Tanwen flapped her small wings happily.
"Torchic!! Tor Tor!!"

Butterfree nodded and flapped her wings excitedly.

(If you are going to catch her will you give her a nickname? And also set tell me what her personality will be ^_^)

(Yes I shall nickname her, she'll be Felicity, and her personality is she's quirky natured and is often lost in thught)

Gale smiled widely and brought out a pokeball, tapping it softly against Buterfree's head. She watched she the butterfly pokemon vanished inside the ball and it began to shake. Gale's heart raced with every shake, she couldn't wait to go home and show her mother her new friend. Tanwen watched the ball shake as well, excited to have a friend and team mate at long last.

The Pokeball then stopped shaking. You caught it!

Gale smiled widely and then threw the ball into the air. Her new Butterfree spin in the air before landing on her outstreched arm.
"I have an excelent nickname for you! From this moment on, you'll be Felicity!"
"Free!!"
Felicity flapped ehr wings and rubbed her head against Gale's chin, making Gale laugh softly.

Then a bang is heard, followed by smoke coming from Viridian City and Pallet Town. Officer Jenny Walks up to Gale.

"You must be a Pokemon trainer, right? We need all trainers in Viridian City, pronto! Here, my Pidgeott will take you," she said sending out a Pidgeott, "Use Fly!"

Pidgeott took Gale to Viridian City, with Jenny sitting behind Gale. They soon landed.
